Director General of the board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, made the announcement on Monday after returning from Saudi Arabia, where he inspected arrangements for the pilgrimage.
He disclosed that a two-storey building has been secured in Shahri Mansur, a location close to the Haram in Makkah, to accommodate about 3,205 pilgrims from Kano.
To ensure proper feeding arrangements, the board has also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a reputable catering company to provide regular and timely meals during the pilgrimage.
On visa processing, Alhaji Danbappa said the board has settled all necessary payments through the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), with about two-thirds of the visas already being processed and the remainder expected soon.
The director general advised all intending pilgrims to attend the mandatory Hajj orientation course (BITA) and complete their medical screening as part of the preparations.
