A deadly terrorist attack on Morai town in Talata Mafara Local Government Area of Zamfara State on Monday night claimed the lives of four individuals and led to the abduction of several others.

Among those killed was Saminu Morai, a former sole administrator of the local government area. The attack, which occurred late in the night, plunged the community into panic as gunmen invaded the area, firing sporadically and abducting numerous residents.
The victims were buried according to Islamic rites shortly after the incident. The Emir of Talata Mafara and the Divisional Police Officer attended the funeral.
As of the time of this report, the Zamfara State Police Command had yet to release an official statement on the incident.
