This was disclosed in a statement issued on Friday in Kano by Balarebe Kiru, Director of Public Enlightenment at the Ministry of Education.

Commissioner for Education, Dr. Ali Makoda, called on parents and guardians to take note of the dates and ensure their children return to school promptly. He cautioned that students who fail to resume on time risk facing disciplinary actions.

Dr. Makoda also urged students to avoid bringing prohibited items such as knives, razors, and hard drugs to school. He stressed the need for discipline and lawfulness as essential qualities for academic success.

The commissioner further encouraged both teaching and non-teaching staff to resume duties accordingly, adding that the ministry will carry out routine checks to monitor punctuality and staff performance.

Reaffirming the state’s dedication to enhancing educational standards, he stated that the government remains committed to improving access to quality education and fostering a learning-friendly environment.
