Honourable Abubakar Kabir Abubakar, Member of the House of Representatives representing Bichi Federal Constituency, has expressed his heartfelt condolences following the death of Alhaji Abbas Sunusi, the Galadiman Kano, who passed away on Tuesday at the age of 92.

In a statement released on April 3rd, Honourable Abubakar described the news of Alhaji Sunusi’s death as both shocking and sorrowful, highlighting the late Galadiman Kano’s peaceful life, which he described as an example for all to follow.

He also noted the strong connection between the late Alhaji Sunusi and the people of Bichi, as he was born there when his father, the late Emir Muhammad Sanusi I, served as the district head of the area.

“Alhaji Abbas Sunusi’s legacy continues to resonate with the people of Bichi, especially as he hailed from this constituency, which I proudly represent in the Federal House of Representatives,” Honourable Abubakar said. “His life has left a lasting impact on us all.”

The Honourable Member also extended his condolences to the Kano State APC Chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Abbas Sunusi, for the loss of his father, offering prayers for strength during this difficult time.

“On behalf of my family and the people of Bichi, I pray to Almighty Allah to grant the late Galadiman Kano eternal rest and place him in Aljannatul Firdausi,” he added.

Alhaji Abbas Sunusi died on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at his residence in Sagagi Quarters after a prolonged illness. He was laid to rest the following day according to Islamic customs.
