Hamid Sidi Ali, Secretary of the Taskforce on Development Control, confirmed the ministry’s intervention after receiving complaints from residents about the sudden construction. Investigations revealed that the project, initiated by an unidentified individual, lacked official approval.

The unapproved airstrip had obstructed access to farmlands and nearby villages, causing hardship for residents. In response, the ministry placed notice boards at the site, halting further development to allow farmers and villagers to resume their daily activities.

Ali urged the unidentified developer to come forward for further investigation, reiterating that no authorization was granted for the project.
