The Kano State Government has dispatched a high-level delegation to Edo State in response to a recent tragic incident that claimed innocent lives.

The Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Ibrahim Waiya, made this known while reaffirming the government’s commitment to seeking justice for the victims. Waiya stressed that those affected deserve justice and the protection of their rights. He stated that the delegation’s mission includes engaging with the Edo State Government to collaborate on identifying those responsible and ensuring that justice is served.

Additionally, the delegation will hold discussions with the leadership of the Hausa community in Edo State. These talks aim to address concerns, offer recommendations, and explore ways to maintain peace and unity among residents.

The Kano State Government has called on the public to remain calm and refrain from actions that could escalate tensions. It assured citizens that both diplomatic and legal approaches are being pursued to resolve the situation effectively.

Furthermore, the government extended its deepest condolences to the families of the victims, praying for the peaceful repose of the departed souls.
