Speaking on Thursday, Akpabio highlighted the party’s solid foundation in Kano and its potential to reclaim power in the next election cycle.
He attributed this optimism to the strong leadership of key figures within the party, including Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, APC National Chairman Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, and Senator Basheer Lado.
He also praised Senator Lado’s performance as Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Senate matters, dismissing speculation about information leaks between the executive and legislative arms. He described Lado’s efforts in strengthening communication between the presidency and the Senate as “unprecedented” during his eight-month tenure.
In response, Lado expressed gratitude to Akpabio for his leadership and support. He acknowledged Akpabio’s role in advancing President Tinubu’s policies and described him as a “dependable ally” committed to the Renewed Hope Agenda.
