Forum of former Council Chairmen, Shekarau’s Political Appointees on Tuesday thrown their weight behind Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, and Sule Garo, the anointed candidates of the All Progressive Congress for 2023 gubernatorial race.

A communique that was signed Abdullahi Yahaya Tsamiya, Chairman, and Nasiru Usman Naibawa that was made available to newsmen in Kano said they have elected to remain in APC to push for Gawuna/Garo candidacy in the interest of development.

Members of the Group who served under Shekarau’s administration between 2003 – 2011 noted that Ganduje’s choice are one of them that have at one time hold “hold executive positions in their respective local government areas as well at state level”

The communique explained that we cannot forget in a jiffy Ganduje’s magnanimity to their ex political boss who was allocated the slot of state House of Assembly members, 5 Commissioner, 10 Special Adviser, 20 SSA to remain in APC”

The group stated that his exit has clearly demonstrated that “Shekarau’s politics of self first is antithetical to human capital development.

The group therefore pledged their “unalloyed support to Ganduje’s administration for it to achieve greater kano that will be a pride to all.”

The Group similarly appealed for the inclusion of its members in scheme of things for they have opted to remain in APC to ensure its success..
