The Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano, Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna has been described as the best person to be the next governor of Kano state.

The State’s Commissioner of Information, Malam Muhammad Garba made the disclosure during a flag-off of a training organized for Social Media operators in Kano.

Garba said the joint ticket of Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna and Murtala Sule Garo is the best of all the candidates contesting for the seat of governor come 2023 general elections.

“Everybody knows who Gawuna and Garo are as far as politics is concerned. We all know their capabilities. We know the roles they have played since the return of democracy.

“We know what these two politicians can do to better the lives of People of Kano state. When you are talking of Kano, these people know better the challenges affecting the state, therefore, if given a chance they will overcome these challenges and move the state forward,” he assured.

The commissioner, therefore, tasked operators of social media to promote the political ideologies of Gawuna/Garo joint ticket in order to garner them support of the electorates.

He said: “We really need your support to win the forthcoming elections. We all know the power of media, so, use it and promote the political ideologies of Gawuna and Garo ahead of the conduct of general elections.

Garba, however, warned the social media operators to always be mindful of human rights while promoting the candidature of their candidates.

He urged them not to use the media to tarnish the images of political opponents of their chosen candidates, saying “such actions violate political campaign rules and regulations, hence, should not engage themselves in them.”
