Dandinshe Yamma Quarters in Dala Local Government Area of Kano State is mourning the sudden death of 14-year-old Fatima Sulaiman, who was found hanging in her family home.

The Kano State Police Command has confirmed receiving a report of the incident and has launched an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding Fatima’s death. SP Kiyawa assured that the command is committed to uncovering the truth behind the tragedy.
Fatima’s mother, Malama Madina Inuwa Makwalla, last saw her daughter before leaving to visit a hospitalized relative, when Fatima said she was going to use the toilet. Upon returning home, the family found the main gate locked from inside. Her father, Malam Sulaiman, climbed over the fence and discovered Fatima lifeless by the window. Some residents have expressed suspicion over possible foul play, suggesting her neck might have been broken prior to the hanging.
Fatima was laid to rest according to Islamic rites, with numerous community members attending her funeral. Neighbors remembered her as a calm, respectful, and generous teenager who was well-liked in the neighborhood.
